Passion Projects

The beauty of passion projects is that the motivation to complete them is seamless and fun! Whether our “project” is our career or a project around the house, passion projects take the work out of the project and adds the pleasure into them.

What are they?

As I mentioned, they can be anything from our entire career/job to a specific project at home or work. Finding a career that is our passion is a priceless find. We spend so much time at our jobs that if we can find one that we enjoy, it’s a luxury. Our enjoyment drives our work and progress becomes seamless and fun.

This isn’t to say that these passion projects can’t be challenging. Growing further into our passion can be exciting and even more motivating. In short, these challenges cause us to get better and better at what we love.

How do you Find Them?

Passion projects can come to us in many ways. The best strategy to find them is to not only be receptive to opportunities to come our way but also to position ourselves for such opportunities. This quite often means that we need to be willing to go out of our comfort zone. To be willing to explore areas new to us and be open to what these new opportunities have to offer us. It’s often when we do this, that we find new areas of interest. Or perhaps that new area will then lead to the passion project. You just never know!

The best advice I can share is that we need to keep our eyes wide open. We need to accept new challenges, be willing to go outside our comfort zone, and keep a positive attitude along the way. It’s amazing what we will we will see when we are consciously looking!

What Do You Do With Them?

Cherish them for all their worth. Make the most of them. And take every opportunity to grow and expand our skills from them. And… have a ton of fun! We have found our sweet spot; lets enjoy it!

Have You Found Your Passion Project?

How did you find it? Were you at a place in your life where you could take advantage of it? Was it as fun-filled as it was challenging?
